Invitation From the Hungarian Shuttlecock Association to all European shuttlecock-countries. 1. Aims: to promote and popularize shuttlecock, attract new countries, to compete for the European champion's titles 2. Hosted by: Hungarian Shuttlecock Association commissioned by the Shuttlecock Federation of Europe (SFE) 3. Place: Újszász City Sport Hall (100 kms from Budapest) 4. Date: 17-19th July 2005 5. Jury: Head: ifj. Fehér János (Hungary) 6. Events: men's and women's team 7. Methods: First round group games based on the results of the prewious European Championship. Second round ranking matches. For getting In semi final the groups' winners play against the other group's second team. Matches going two out of three set systems, 21 points for each sets. The third place is also decided in a match. 8. Participants: Those countries that payed 50 Euros SFE membership fee for 2005 are only allowed to participate at European Championships. A country can enter only its citizens certified by their passports or ID. Each country can enter 6 men and 6 women players, and delegate 1-1 couches and a referee. The countries can enter one team or player in every events. The host country is allowed to enter one more team or player in each event. In team event all the 6 players are allowed to play. In double event there is no way to substitute players. Those two players should play all the games who played the first match. One player can compete in more events without limitation. 9. Entry: All countries are requested to confirm their participations (indicating events and number of participants) before 31st March 2005. The deadline of final entries with names: 30th June 2005 Please indicate special meal preferences as well (p.e. vegetarian, diabetes menu). 10. Arrival and departure: Arrival: 16th July 2005 From 21-23rd July 10th Hungarian Open will take place. At this competition the participants of the European Championship are allowed to play. For them the departure date is 24th July. Besides them all countries can enter other players without limitation 11. Expenses: Travel expenses to Újszászig shall be borne by the the participants themselves. During the European Championship the Hungarian Shuttlecock Association provides free board and lodging for the 15 person's delegation from all participant nations. For each person more the provisions costs 30 Euros/day. (lodging at dormitory) Those who would like to accomodate in a pension the cost is 60 Euros/day. 12. Awarding: Top 3 teams of each event will be awarded by medals. Each participants will be presented with certificates and T-shirts. The most succesful country will win the Grand Prix of the Nations.
